Lost Buildings Calendar

“Lost Buildings of Old Rutland: A Calendar” is a pictorial calendar constructed or perhaps deconstructed by Jacob Sherman.

Each month is illustrated with a photograph of a building that was demolished in “Old Rutland Town” an area that now includes Proctor, Rutland City, Rutland Town and West Rutland.

As a preface to the monthly pictorial renditions there is complete description and history of each building. These include its uses, mishaps, and other information of interest.

The buildings include Rutland railroad passenger depot; Proctor Hospital; West Rutland Rail Depot; Rutland Courthouse; G.A.R. Memorial Hall; Mill Village blacksmith shop and wagon maker; Rutland Swimming Pool; Hayward Farm; Grove Hall; West Parish Congregational Church; Redfield Proctor Home; Center Street Town House.
